Name history: "Named for Albert Wiesendanger (1893-1989), a U.S. Forest Service employee from 1909 until 1948 who served as Columbia District Ranger for Mount Hood NF and later as a private citizen he served as Executive Secretary for ""Keep Oregon Green"", a forest fire prevention organization."
